Tonight we're putting the finishing touches on the first single release, 'What's the Story?' from our forthcoming album. The record will be mastered using Jamin and Ardour. There's a light drizzle of rain outside, helping mask the noise from our sleeping neighbours. Sound leaks out of the cracks of this studio, and now might not be the best time to be blasting jagged basslines and synths through the valley.
The next step is to get it out there. I'll be launching a newly designed website once I get my head around CMS made simple, which will hopefully make the whole site easier to navigate.
We'll be releasing the single in April as an online download and CD with 2 bonus mixes. We also get to test our studio and software experiments at the Great Escape Festival, Newington Armory (April 14, 15, 16) as part of the Clatterbox midday sessions.
