Most of my friends are creative types - musicians, artists, sound engineers, poets. I'm lucky to work with some very talented people. The past few years of collaborating with Dave Young to create a visual style and video imagery for Deprogram have been so amazing - we've both learned a lot from the project. Working with instrumentalists like Robbie Mudrazija (drums) and more recently, Steve Harris (bass) has introduced different perspectives to the music. Both come from a jazz background and bring new approaches to the Deprogram sound.
Now I'm looking to expand our team. For the first time I'll be searching outside my immediate friend circle. I'm looking for people to help out with the marketing, business and the planning side of this project.
I'm totally into the DIY ethic, and have slowly worked out methods to get the music out there, from industry books, online guides and even advice thrust on me from well-meaning sources. Sometimes I wonder if there's enough of me to go around to achieve all the things needed to keep my music a viable affair- composing/recording, advertising, distribution and the logistics of performing.
I'm looking out for a new Deprogram member who specialises in marketing and can help out in the organisational aspects of the project. If anyone would like to contribute to the project, please email me through the site's contact page.
