Deprogram Video Exhibition at the Tap Gallery

Tap Gallery - Wednesday 7 May, originally uploaded by deprogram.

A huge thank-you to everyone who came along to the Deprogram video exhibition at the Tap Gallery in Darlinghurst.

The show featured J D Young's video prints and projections, representing years of experimentation in video art and graphic design. Originally a painter, Young has applied his adventurous approach to colour and form in the dynamic and fluid world of video.

Our launch on May 7 was filled with beaming faces and wonderful volunteers who ensured the smooth pouring of drinks and sales of prints, T-shirts and DVDs. We have some photos of you all on our Flickr page. Cause my camera was on the blink, most of the shots are taken with a camera phone (thanks to the gorgeous Chelsea). There were several other people wandering around taking photos. Please let me know if you have any to add to the collection.

I had several of my own paintings on display, and was so happy to have sold a couple of them! What better gift to have on my birthday. After a decade devoted to music, it feels good to explore my visual side again.

We'll be back at the Tap Gallery to perform at the 19th Birthday celebrations on Friday July 4.
