In the Studio
The past 2 years have been ones of review and consolidation. We have relocated Beat-Route studios from Coogee to a much quieter bush setting on the South Coast. Drawing inspiration from towering escarpment views and the coastline, I have been wandering around with my Zoom recorder doing field recordings of native insects and birds. The handy little device has also allowed me to quickly record piano and vocal improvisations on the fly, without having to fiddle around on the computer first.
Deprogram use a Mackie MTE Series 250 mixing console, Dynaudio Acoustics for monitoring and customised Peach preamps. Nick has been mixing a wide range of projects here and recording larger and community-based projects at the Bondi Pavilion Studios.
